Anyhere's Autumn Self-Care Routine
Although it may be wonderful with mindless relaxation, we would like to remind you all to carefully ensure that you maintain a peaceful heart the whole year. Therefore, we will introduce 4 steps to self-care, Anyhere-style.
1. Digital Detox
Indeed an intimidating concept, but something to consider. Computers and tablets are often a staple in the workplace, and therefore setting them aside is a luxury not to be taken for granted. Giving yourself a breather from the digital companions can help you reconnect to yourself and the moment, without constant reminders of stress from the outside world. Start by placing the phone and computer away from eyesight, and set a limited amount of allowed online-time per day.
Self-care should be simple. Although it feels logical that being kind to yourself should not include judging your attempts to self-care, it can be easy to compare yourself with others (ex. yoga-influencers who seem to meditate while they bake, run and do facials). Anyheres key way to self-care is instead simply evaluating your current state of mind and build a self-care routine that is possible for you. So, start with sitting down and journaling how you feel and in what ways you would like to be kinder to yourself.
3. Spend time outside
Don't worry, we do not challenge you to become a tree-hugging camper, but spending more time outdoors has wonderful benefits to your mind and body which should be exploited when the weather permits it. Why not drink your morning coffee outside or take an evening walk before watching another episode of Sex And The City? We promise you that you will feel calmer in an instant.
4. Make your AM/PM routine extra mindful
What self-care routine would it be without some beauty? However, this does not have to imply buying new expensive products or spending hours doing facial masks. Instead, start by doing your current beauty routine a little extra mindfully. Put your PJs on, play some music, and leave your phone and to-dos outside the bathroom. A perfect way to disconnect to the outside world and reconnect to yourself, and as a bonus you might even get a glow!
